announcing the death of his father, King George III "whom it pleased God to release from the suffereing of a long illness on the evening of the Twenty Ninth Instant, at thirty-five Minutes past Eight O'clock", and announcing that he will be "ascending the throne of this Imperial Kingdom", assuring his continued loyalty to the friendship between the two nations, countersigned by Lord Castlereagh, mourning paper enclosed within mourning outer wrapper sealed with wafer seal bearing the royal crest, 1 pages, folio, Carlton House, 31 January 1820, cracking to edges of mourning paper
