Description

Tupac promotional t-shirt, ca. 1993,

White t-shirt, size L, "2 Pac" with fist icon on front, "THA N.I.G.G.A.Z...ARE COMIN" on back.

A LIMITED EDITION 2PAC PROMOTIONAL T-SHIRT

The shirt offered here is an artifact produced by Tupac Shakur's management to promote the release of his 1993 album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z…This—his second studio album—leaned heavily on social and political commentary, and is now considered by music experts as his true "breakout" record. The album's title is punctuated as it is a backronym for "Never Ignorant in Getting Goals Accomplished".

In the black & white, fast-paced music video for the record's first song, “Holler If You Hear Me”, Tupac can be seen wearing a version of this shirt.

Provenance:

From the personal collection of Tupac Shakur's former manager, Atron Gregory
