of tapering form on an oval base, decorated with green and gold paillon pellets and quatrefoils on a translucent blue enamel ground over engine-turning, within white dot borders, chased and enamelled yellow and carnelian-coloured beads and foliage, the later matrix engraved with a European coat of arms, maker's mark JBC?, possibly for Jean-Baptiste Coiffier, charge and discharge marks of J.B. Kalendrin, later French control marks,
