An 18ct gold hunting cased keyless lever chronograph watch with register
1887-1888
• Movement: frosted gilded 2/3 plate, lever escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, diamond end-stone, numbered 71004, further engraved Patents and with additional number partially concealed by bridgework
• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30-minute register, outer scales for minutes and chronograph seconds, blued steel hands
• Case: 18ct gold, plain polished covers, plain polished gold cuvette, chronograph pusher through crown, pendant locking slide to band, olivette beside pendant for hand-setting, hallmarked 1887-1888 and with sponsor's mark TNB in oval cameo for Thomas Newnham Bell, back cover numbered 71004, cuvette and front cover numbered 004, original watch paper to inside front cover with instructions for use of the 'Chrono-Micrometer'
