The present lot was retailed by Greenleaf & Crosby Co., a retailer of luxury and exotic goods, established in Florida in the late 1860s. When tourism was popularized in Jacksonville, Fl., the atelier partnered with developer, Henry Flagler to build boutiques within some of the most renowned hotels including The Alcazar, The Royal Poinciana, The Breaker's Palm Beach, and The Royal Palm. By the 1920's, Greenleaf & Crosby had become the foremost Floridian jewelers and began to introduce some of the most iconic European brands to the area including Van Cleef & Arpels, and Patek Philippe.

The present lot would have been offered during this golden age of the Atelier.
