In 2021, this has moved along since I last tasted it, as displayed in a deeper colour derived from the great botrytis of this exalted year. The 'torched' crème brûlée bouquet is there in abundance, together with walnuts, 'raisins de Corinthe', Chinese tea, oranges and allspice, all reflected on the palate. The sweetness has a touch of tar from the noble rot, the complexity is intense and the depth almost surreal. One would wish to be so indestructible... Serena Sutcliffe, MW

This is very much a living cellar and the selected wines represent only a small portion of the entire collection of this great French cellar. The owners, both world class Art collectors and “fin gourmet” have been celebrated hosts since the 1960s. The vast majority of these wines were sourced directly from the Châteaux and from the most reputable Bordeaux merchants. Together with some rare vintages of 1945 claret and 1967 d’ Yquem, the collection includes six rare magnums of Mouton d’Armailhac with no labels, believed to be from the 1916 vintage from the historical cellar book and direct from the Château
