Four woodblock prints and two woodblock print triptychs

Edo - Meiji period, 19th century


each a woodblock print, and comprising: 

- San'ya: The actor Nakamura Utaemon IV in the role of Yaoya Hanbei, from the series Thirty-six Fashionable Restaurants of the Eastern Capital (Toto ryuko sanjuroku kaiseki), signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga and with artist's paulownia seal, and Yoshiiku ga, censor's seals Mera (Mera Ta'ichiro) Watanabe (Watanbe Gentaro), 11th month 1852

- Maiden (Otome), from the series Japanese and Chinese Comparisons for the Tale of Genji (Waken nazorae Genji), signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, censor's seal aratame, published by Iseyoshi, 7th month 1855 

- The actor Nakamura Shikan IV in the role of Dokko no Daroku, part of polyptych, published by Yamamura Kojiro in 1882 

- The actor Nakamura Fukusuke II in the role of Nichiren Shonin, part of a diptych, published by Miyake Hanshiro in 1886

- Actors performing in the play Osome Hisamatsu Ukina no Yomiuri, triptych, each sheet signed Kunichika hitsu, censor's seal aratame, published by Iseya Rihei (Kinjudo), 8th month 1867

- Actors Nakamura Shikan IV and Bando Hikosaburo V in the roles of Omiwa, Fukashichi and Iruka, triptych, the centre sheet signed Toyohara Kunichika hitsu, published by Tsujiokaya Kamekichi (Kinkido, Tosendo), 9th month 1871
