woodblock print, from the series A Tour of Waterfalls in Various Provinces (Shokoku taki meguri), signed Saki no Hokusai Iitsu hitsu (Brush of Iitsu, the former Hokusai), published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo), circa 1833


Vertical oban: 37.8 x 25.9 cm., 14⅞ x 10¼ in. 

This lot has been professionally mounted for exhibition, there is residue tape to the reverse.

Three men sit on an outcrop enjoying warm sake and the view of the large waterfall cascading down beside them.
