Nude and black cat
Taisho - Showa period, 20th century
woodblock print, embellished with karazuri (blind-printing), on a deep red ground, signed and sealed Hiroaki, published by Fusui Gabo, circa 1924-27
Vertical dai oban: 42.5 x 26.8 cm., 16¾ x 10½ in.
The printer's building was destroyed during World War II (including the printing blocks) making this design extremely rare.
