Landscapes
ink and colour on paper, album of eight leaves
Each right-hand leaf with one seal of the artist.
First seven left-hand leaves with inscriptions or poetic comments at the title page next to artist’s painting, written by Zhu Zhichen (17th century), Xu Zhijue (17th century), Xiao Zhen (18th century) (twice), He Yizhuang (17th century) and Li Xingyuan (1797-1851)(twice), each with one to two seals. The title page next to the eighth leaf was a painting by Wu Biao (17th century) and with two seals of his.

Colophons by Xiao Zhen, dated the thirty-three year of Qianlong era (1768) and with one seal of his; by Chen Danzhong (17th century) and with two seals of his.

題跋:(蕭鎮)「山愛夕陽時」,君房傳句也。雨咸畫青綠,能于烘染時帶日光于巖壑間,亦一時興到之作,不可易得。張西浦,畫士也,來桐君軒,把玩摩挲,不忍釋手。乾隆三十三年(1768)秋七月二十三日,上元蕭鎮記于薄暮晚風送凉時。(「夕陽」句一作錢仲文。)鈐印:湫

對題:(何以莊)雪灋外襯過多,不免刻跡。反是,便入局淺,乏寒栗蕭寂之致;少畫木樹,乏偃仰丘壑層次之趣。無論元、宋,唯唐摩詰一人而已。茲冊携至籜龍山齋,初夏展對,已移我于峨眉天半,想雨咸染積,別具研冶矣,况種種佳幅,無時蹊張怒習,固足寶也。玉成先生善賞善藏,故漫記之。梁谿何莊。鈐印:何以莊印、㳄

跋尾:(陳丹衷)元人畫,以草隸字法為山樹於荒寒滅沒中,森秀欎茂,形影古澹,精神乃出。倪黃四子本北苑,北苑烟雲又已開米南宮、高彦敬谿徑,顧山下孤煙遠村,天邊獨樹高原。評右丞者謂:「雲峰石色,逈出天機」,豈始董巨耶?今人未能絕去甜俗,輒倣元人,所云「齊梁以後風流頓盡」。余于晚近好顧清甫,觀雨咸此册,昔人為不遠矣,學問古澹以深,蓋不獨畫也。秋雨初霽,坐玉老小閣,香茗幽勝,家童新曲初度,從荷池柳溆邊,并發絲竹,繼觀所藏名跡,偶拈此作,即為題此。人生良聚,安可易得?陳丹衷。鈐印:涉江氏、陳丹衷印

注:施霖,字雨咸,江寧(南京人),擅山水,有元人風度,善作大畫並為他人代筆,如周亮工《讀畫錄》卷四,〈施雨咸〉載:「馬瑤草(馬士英)、楊龍友(楊文驄)作畫,但能小小結構耳,其大幅皆倩雨咸為之。」又同書〈馬瑤草〉有云:「瑤草名成後,人爭購其畫,不能遍應,多屬施雨咸為之。」
