Manuscript document signed ("Victoria R I"), related to John Fox Burgoyne, 1856

5 pages (322 x 204 mm) on one single and one folded leaf, tied with a green silk ribbon, signed at the head of the first page (“Victoria R I”), and foot of the fifth page by George Grey ("G. Grey") and Robert Laurie ("Robert Laurie"), otherwise accomplished in a neat clerical hand, written from Saint James’s Palace and dated 4 March 1856, with embossed wax and paper seal, docketed on verso; old folds, minor soiling, two small closed tears, not affecting text. 

A document confirming that Lieutenant General Sir John Fox Burgoyne and his issue may continue to use the surname and arms of Burgoyne. (See previous lot.)
