A striking depiction of "The Ride of the Valkyries" — an emblematic Rackham work. 

The present image appeared at page 149 in the first edition of The Rhinegold & the Valkyrie (London: William Heinemann, 1910), an English translation of the first two operas of German composer Richard Wanger's Ring Cycle.
