12mo (145 x 112 mm, uncut). Fly-title. Publisher's cloth-backed purple boards with printed label on front cover, rear pastedown stamped in red "Made in England." Blue cloth folding-case, black morocco spine label.


First, limited, edition, no. 21 of only 40 copies for private circulation. Printed at the St. Dominic's Press. With the W.C. 2 imprint hand-corrected to W.C. 2.


This review of When We Dead Awaken originally appeared in Fortnightly Review, April 1900, and was Joyce's first publication. A fine copy.
