[14], 1-184, [2, map], 185-762, 865, 864, 865-942, [2, blanks], 945-1068, [2, map], 1069-1214, [98], with two folding maps and woodcut illustrations throughout, occasional misnumbering of pages, final leaf a cancel; a bit toned and with intermittent foxing, paper flaw and associated closed tear to upper margin of 1059-1060, long tears and some paper loss to second folding map, early ownership inscription at lower corner of title, extensive late-seventeenth-century commentary in Latin on front pastedown, with marginalia, corrections, and annotations in the same hand throughout Genesis. Contemporary blindstamped pigskin over beveled wooden boards, each side with outer historiated boarder centering a portrait panel, brass catches; lacking one strap and brass clasp, rebacked to style with portions of the original spine laid down, tightly bound occasionally affecting legibility of text near gutter, chipping to top portion of fore-edge due to the clasp, pastedowns with some toning and offsetting, previous ownership mark removed from front pastedown.
