Costantini studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo under the tutelage of the sculptor Mario Rutelli. In 1908, Costantini who had relocated to Paris, began showing at the Salon des Independents and the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, of which he became a member.
