painted at the centre with a bird perched upon a large apple, surrounded by small flower sprigs and insects, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, pressnummer 16 to inside of footrim
23.5cm, 9¼in diameter
Sotheby's Scientific Research department used noninvasive XRF for this lot to screen the green enamel for chromium, which was not detected.
