Nikita Zigura was born in 1984 in Dnipro, Ukraine. He graduated from the Shevchenko State Art School and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. In its polished texture and fluid form, Southern Night recalls the iconic sculptures of Constantine Brancusi. The radiating, mask-like face of a female figure is captured in a moment of tranquillity, drawing the viewers to contemplate the intimacy of a human inner world and all that remains hidden beneath the visible, material facade.
