Launch Operations section (L/1-1 through L/6-2) of the Apollo 11 Flight Crew Abbreviated Checklist, with front cover and table of contents. Houston, Texas: NASA, Manned Spacecraft Center, Spacecraft Systems Branch, Flight Crew Support Division, April 15, 1969.
8 by 6 inches. 86 pp. on 50 leaves, 6 subsections on 15 tabs, two additional photocopied pages with handwritten notations in pencil laid in. Original printed card stock front cover, back cover lacking, punched, bound at spine with two original metal rings. With a handful of manuscript emendations to text in an unknown hand, a few in red felt-tipped pen in an unknown hand, as well as an inscription to Buzz in black ballpoint pen, possibly from Deke Slayton, reading: "Buzz/ the new card will be available next week./ If you'd like to stick this in yout chk (sic) list/ until then it'll serve as a reminder that we/ aren't through yet./ [illegible initials]

The Flight Crew Abbreviated Checklist was a quick reference book for the entire crew, and contained three primary sections; Launch Operations, flight Operations, and Entry Operations. The present lot consists of the introductory material for the whole document, and the entire Launch Operations section only. See lot 37 for the Entry Operations section; the location of the Flight Operations section is unknown.
