Robert H. Goddard Memorial Trophy Plaque. 6 by 4 inches. Bronze colored, intermittent tarnishing to recto and verso, two small circular marks to verso of plaque, indicative of where it was once affixed to a larger wooden plaque.

The Robert H. Goddard Memorial Trophy has been awarded by the National Space Club annually since 1958 to "an individual, group or program deemed to have made the most significant contribution to space activity in the previous year."
The 1970 Goddard Memorial Trophy was awarded to the Apollo 11 Astronauts by Mrs. Robert Goddard, widow of the "father of modern rocketry," on March 18th, in Washington, D.C.
