FIRST EDITION, 4to (c.35.5 x 25.5cm), 31 pages, engraved throughout, bound together with other works including by Harrington, Abington, Kent, Harrison, Hook, Stephen Storace and Paisiello, ownership inscriptions to front pastedown and elsewhere ("E Wood"; "Eliz.th Wood"), contemporary half calf, binding worn


This celebrated collection of Haydn's English songs was issued by the composer himself from his lodgings in London, during his last visit to England in 1794.
