4 volumes, 4to (304 x 224mm.), 4 engraved frontispieces, engraved initials, head- and tailpieces, engraved portrait of the author, folding engraved map, 31 engraved plates, navy straight-grained morocco gilt by Bozérian, spines gilt in compartments, gilt edges, a few small stains, small hole in first few leaves of volume 4, small ink stain on foredge of volume 4, bindings repaired with some loss to covers (in particular vols 3-4)


A fine and large copy of this Spanish typographical masterpiece, retaining some deckle edges. The tools on this binding are illustrated in P. Culot, Jean-Claude Bozérian, no.28 (a copy of Paul et Virginie from 1806).
