2 volumes, 4to (361 x 255mm.), 2 lithographed frontispieces, 2 chromolithographed additional titles, 70 hand-coloured lithographed plates, original red morocco-backed red pictorial cloth gilt, occasional very light foxing and a few small stains, text-blocks starting to crack, extremities bumped


A romanticised view of the Highland Clans, published to coincide with the centenary of the Jacobite Rebellion.
