A large blue-glazed jar, Syria or Western Persia, 12th century
of inverted pear-shaped form on a slightly spreading foot, the high sloping shoulders rising to a straight cylindrical neck with everted rim, the body decorated in black with abstract decoration under a bright turquoise glaze
