Chancery folio (306 x 212mm.), 218 leaves, A4 a–z A–C8 D6, 62 lines of commentary plus headline, roman type, some leaves with deckle edge at foredge, contemporary half tooled calf over wooden boards (lower pastedown with watermark of a basilisk, Briquet 2674, dated Ferrara, 1505), two clasps, paper lettering pieces on lower cover with author's name and a red X, in modern drop-backed folding box, section of front flyleaf excised and replaced, D3-4 slightly browned, binding slightly rubbed, a few small wormholes in binding, spine worn and defective, lacking both straps
