folio (419 x 273mm.), engraved frontispiece by Masini after Ghezzi, title printed in red and black with engraved view of Urbino, engraved portrait of James Stuart (the Old Pretender, James III) by Horthemels after Belle, engraved armorial headpieces and initials, 74 and LXXII engraved plates (3 folding), engraved map of the territory of Urbino, contemporary red morocco, triple gilt fillet border, spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges, bifolium containing plates LXX-LXXI detached, occasional light staining, binding slightly stained and somewhat rubbed and scraped, lettering-piece chipped


The plates depict details of the architectural decoration of the palace of Urbino, along with a view of the facade.
