An Egyptian Limestone Round-topped Stela

New Kingdom, probably early 18th Dynasty, circa 1540-1292 B.C.


carved in shallow relief with the goddesses Nekhbet and Hathor standing and flanking a table of offerings, each goddess holding a was-scepter and ankh, and wearing a long dress with shoulder-straps, armlet, collar and tripartite wig, inscriptions in the field, a winged disk above.

Height 29.5 cm.
