An Egyptian Limestone Relief

19th Dynasty, 1305-1196 B.C.


carved in sunk relief with a couple striding right on a ground line, the man wearing an elaborate kilt with overfold, shirt with full sleeves, collar and enveloping wig with horizontal grooves, bearing offerings of flowers and a goose, the woman wearing a long diaphanous dress with long sleeves and wig surmounted by a cosmetic cone and papyrus blossom, carrying a sistrum and an unidentified offering.
