The Stuttgart Group is a group of Late Apulian red-figure vase painters of unknown name which was in operation between 330 and 300 B.C. In style, the vases of the group are close to the Baltimore Painter and White-Sakkos Painter as well as the Underworld Painter, the Sansone Painter and the Kantharos Group. Like the work of the White-Sakkos Painter, the vases of the Stuttgart Group feature busy and dynamic scenes, and frequently depict chariots pulled by rearing white horses alongside a winged Eros, as on this vase.
