This was Lowell Thomas's first photograph of Lawrence, taken in Jerusalem as they were introduced in the office of the Military Governor, February 28, 1918. This photograph is the original print that was re-touched for publication in the Daily Telegraph in 1935 to announce Lawrence's death.
