A rare doucai moulded 'lotus' dish
Mark and period of Yongzheng
清雍正 鬪彩八吉祥模印蓮式盤 《大清雍正年製》款
the shallow rounded sides masterfully moulded in the form of fluted petals radiating from a slightly recessed flat centre simulating a lotus bloom, the interior centre decorated with a roundel enclosing Tibetan characters in iron-red within two narrow bands of ruyi heads, surrounded by two rows of petals, further encircled by a row of the bajixiang alternating with Tibetan characters, the exterior similarly decorated above two overlapping bands of iron-red and pale green petals, all supported on a straight foot, the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue
