The fine black lacquer wakizashi koshirae with ribbed upper section, carved, chased and engraved with an applied group of large fish, including grouper and flounder, above swirling waters delineated in black takamaki-e and gyobu nashiji, the fuchi-kashira chased and engraved with further fishes in water among reeds, the kozuka with crashing waves in high and low relief with the details of spray inlaid in gilt, the ura signed Omori Eishu with kao, the menuki formed as conch shells, brown ito over white same, the tsuba similarly decorated with fishes including pufferfish and flounder
