the sixty-two plate iron bowl with raised ridges, terminating into a five-stage tehen kanamono engraved and inlaid in silver and gilt with chrysanthemums the mabisashi [peak] of stenciled Dutch leather, the large fukigaeshi [turnbacks] with applied copper-gilt mon, the three-tier shikoro with kebiki odoshi [close-laced] in green and white braid, suken maedate [forecrest of a sword], gilt-metal kuwagata on an ornate kuwagata-dai pierced, chased and engraved with chrysanthemums above scrolling foliage, the mempo with detachable nose plate and broad yak bristle moustache, the mouth agape, three-tier yodaregake [throat protector], with nodawa [throat guard], the heavy iron do [cuirass] hinged in two pieces, all components laced in kebiki odoshi [close-laced] in green and white braid, the broad o-sode [large shoulder guards] of seven tiers, chainmail hyotan-gote [sleeves with gourd-shaped embellishments], seven tassets of five-tiered kusazuri [skirt], the underskirt in silk brocade lacquer plates, shino suneate [shin guards], with two armour storage box and a wood armour stand
Accompanied by a certificate of registration as a Juyo Bunka Shiryo [Important Cultural Material], issued by the Nihon Katchu Bugu Kenkyu Hozon Kai [Japanese Armour Preservation Society], dated Showa 56 (1981).
