3 volumes, 8vo (210 x 127 mm). Engraved frontispiece portrait, engraved title-pages, additional letterpress title-pages, 11 plates (some folding). Period-style half calf over marbled boards, smooth spines ruled gilt, red lettering pieces; boards slightly rubbed.
Volume 1 contains a biography of Franklin and papers on electricity. Volume 2 contains other scientific, philosophical and political subjects. Volume 3 is devoted to Franklin's writings on the Revolution.
