Description
NIKE, NIKE AIR JORDAN IX, SIZE 14
Rubber, Leather, Cotton
2004
These Air Jordan IXs were designed as Player Exclusives for Jason Kidd during his time on the New Jersey Nets. Kidd won a Gold medal in the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, and Gold again in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Kidd is part of a small group of 13 U.S.A. basketball players that have twice captured Olympic Gold.
Kidd is considered one of the greatest point guards in NBA history. His outside shooting made him one of the league’s most accurate long-range threats. Kidd is a 10 time NBA All-Star, a 5 time All-NBA First Team member, and a 9-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. He won an NBA championship in 2011 as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, and has since been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
This 2004 Jason Kidd Player Exclusive Air Jordan IX features a clean white perforated upper with mudguards wrapped in Varsity Red patent leather. The shoe sticks to a simple two-color scheme with Kidd’s number 5 embroidered on the back heel along with a Jumpman ‘rising sun’ medallion. The outsole has a unique traction pattern which also tells a visual story about how basketball has become a global game.
