Michael Jordan Signed Cover

Pictured here is Michael Jordan at the 1984 Olympic Trials, wearing the same model of Converse Fastbreaks presented in The Games. In the spring of 1984, 72 of the best amateur basketball players across America competed for a spot on the Olympic USA Men’s Basketball team. Among them were future NBA champions and Hall-of-Famers including Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and Michael Jordan. The 21-year-old Jordan quickly distinguished himself as a top choice for the legendary coach Bob “The General” Knight. Jordan’s dominance and athleticism during the Olympic Trials are captured in this signed cover.

Only a few months before officially becoming a member of the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan made his mark in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California, foreshadowing the greatness to come. Jordan averaged a team-high 17.1 points per game and in the final match-up against Spain, contributed 20 points to the 95-65 win for the Gold medal.
