Nike Air Jordan XI Retro OVO ‘Pink Snakeskin’ Alternate Sample | Size 11.5

The Air Jordan 11’s- designed by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield – were created in 1995 when Hatfield realized that Michael Jordan could roll his foot on hard cuts when playing. Hatfield took this opportunity to build a sneaker that would suit Michael with these difficult movements during gameplay. The patent leather on the uppers of the shoe additionally allowed Michael to wear the sneakers with a suit.

First spotted on the sidelines of a Raptors game in 2017, the OVO x Air Jordan 11 “Snakeskin” was teased by rapper Drake between collection drops. The exclusive samples came in two colorways, “Pink” and “Grey”. The high top versions were never sold to the public, but the low versions of the Snakeskin colorways became available in 2019. The Pink Snakeskin sample resurfaced later in 2020 when Houston Rockets player PJ Tucker wore them in a game against the Boston Celtics.

This rare sneaker features a clean white upper with pink snakeskin leather decorating the bottom of the shoe, and is an alternate sample version of the wider seen “Snakeskin” version that has been more broadly noticed. A “45" is embroidered on the heel, a reference to Michael Jordan’s comeback during the 1995 season.
