Sickles: a Soviet propaganda porcelain plate, State Porcelain Factory, Petrograd, 1925

After a design by Rudolf Vilde, the cavetto decorated with sickles in shades of light purple, green, blue and orange, the outer border with sections depicting brightly coloured fruits interposed between friezes of wheat and stylized lattice, marked on the underside in blue underglaze with hammer, sickle and cog, 1925, and in green underglaze with IPF monogram for Nicholas II, 1913
