A rare silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel desk set, Petr Fariseev, Moscow, 1899-1908


The rectangular stand with skirt enamelled with colourful scrolling foliage and raised on four bun feet fitted with two glass inkwells with silver-gilt and enamel slip-on covers, three sides with a railing hinged at each end supporting multicoloured enamelled candle holders, the back of the stand with pen-holders in the form of gryphons. Together with an enamelled pen, struck throughout with maker's mark PF in Cyrillic, 84 standard
