A rare jewelled Fabergé varicoloured gold-mounted guilloché enamel photograph frame, Moscow, 1899-1914


Octagonal, enamelled in translucent opalescent white over a wavy guilloché ground within burnished gold zigzag chased border, applied with intertwined varicoloured gold laurel mounts set with rubies, the aperture set with seed pearls, on two gold ball feet, surmounted by a green-gold laurel wreath with pink-gold ribbon twist, the ivorine reverse with gold scroll strut, struck on the bottom edge of the frame, the strut, interior and top mount, KF in Cyrillic, 56 standard, scratched inventory number 23410
