A pair of silver-gilt Art Nouveau wedding icons, Semyon Galkin, Moscow, 1908-1917
the first depicting Christ Pantocrator and the second depicting the Mother of God, the silver-gilt oklads of both chased and engraved with scrolling foliate motifs in the Art Nouveau style, the edge of each halo engraved similarly, struck to the halo, background and lower edge with maker's mark in Cyrillic, 84 standard
