This sci-fi film was written and produced by Harve Bennett and directed by Leonard Nimoy. The film was based on the hugely popular television series, Star Trek. This is the third film in the Star Trek franchise. The cast includes William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and DeForest Kelley. After the death of Spock (Nimoy), Admiral James T. Kirk (Shatner) and his crew of the USS Enterprise steal the decommissioned Enterprise to go to the restricted Genesis Planet, Spock's homeworld, and bring Spock's body back to Vulcan. Along the way, the crew must fight off hostile Klingons, who are planning on stealing secrets from the Genesis device for their own dangerous motives.
