This film was directed by László Benedek. The cast includes Marlon Brando, Mary Murphy and Robert Keith. Brando plays Johnny Strabler, whose character became a cultural icon of the 50s. The film examines American outlaw motorcycle gang violence, and is considered the first to do this. A small town is terrorised by two rival motorcycle gangs, after one of their leaders ends up in jail.
