This biographical comedy drama was directed and produced by Tim Burton. The cast includes Johnny Depp as the cult eccentric filmmaker Ed Wood, together with Martin Landau. Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette, Jeffrey Jones, Lisa Marie and Bill Murray. The film concentrates on the time in Wood's life when he made his most well-known films. In the 1950s, Wood directed a number of low-budget science fiction, crime and horror films. Wood's remained largely unknown until he was posthumously awarded a Golden Turkey Award for Worst Director of All Time in 1980.
