Italian, late 18th/ early 19th century | Cameo with a Youth 

The unusual presentation of the youth, represented frontally and carved in high relief, recalls a 18th-century cameo thought possibly to represent the young Augustus and inscribed AELIOS (in Greek letters) in the Royal Collection (inv. no. RCIN 65810).
