Three woodblock prints depicting actors

Edo period, 19th century


The group comprising:

- Miotsukushi: The actor Ichikawa Omezo I, from the series Fifty-four Chapters of Edo Purple (Edo murasaki gojuyo-jo), signed Toyokuni ga within toshidama cartouche, and Monjin Sadamasa ga, censor's seals Murata (Murata Sahei) and Kinugasa (Kinugasa Fusajiro), published by Moriya Jihei (Kinshindo), 8th month 1852

- The actors Iwai Kumesaburo and Ichikawa Danjuro in the roles of Gonpachi and Chobei, signed Kuniyasu ga, published by Yama-ta, 1826

- The actors Ichikawa Danhuro VIII and Onoe Kikujiro II, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, with artist's paulownia seal, censor's seals Mera (Mera Ta'ichiro) and Murata (Murata Sahei) published by Horimasa, circa 1847-50
