This painting is being sold pursuant to a restitution agreement between the heirs of Baron Ferenc Hatvany and the prior owner.

Confiscated from the above by the Ministry of Culture of the Hungarian Soviet Republic in 1919 and restituted to Baron Hatvany before 1923
Confiscated from Baron Hatvany’s vault at the Hungarian Commercial Bank of Pest by Russian military personnel in February 1945

Restituted to the heirs of Baron Ferenc Hatvany in 2021 and offered for sale in co-operation with the above
