Consigned by the original owner, this white gold reference 3448 is very interesting for a number of reasons. Firstly, on special request, Patek Philippe added the now integral mesh bracelet after it was originally purchased. The watch recently serviced at Patek Philippe has been given an Extract confirming that the watch was born on a leather strap. The bracelet itself was sized to the original owner's wrist and the portion of the bracelet was removed during sizing is still included with the watch and can be put back to the bracelet to lengthen it. In addition, the watch is still retaining its original Certificate, a rarity of itself, which does confirm that the watch was originally on a leather strap.

The reference 3448, was Patek Philippe's first automatic perpetual calendar wristwatch, roughly 50 examples are known in white gold but rendering this watch extraordinarily rare is the dial configuration. At first glance, it may not be noticeable but something may look out of place. One would then realise that the Patek Philippe signature is stamped above the calendar apertures. Only one other example is known to be signed in such a way. The dial itself is very appealing and features the highly sought after pearl minute track. The case of the watch is extremely crisp, however, the watch now lacks hallmarks as they would have been on the lugs before they were removed.

Fresh to the market, the present 3448 is extremely good looking and has a very unique and unusual look.
