Appearing as a regular Nautilus model at first glance, one will notice a slight difference on the dial of the present reference 5800, which makes all the difference in the world. Silent and modestly, the "Tiffany & Co." logo sits at 6 o'clock on the elegant blue black Nautilus ribbed dial.
Partnership between the traditional watchmaker Patek Phillippe and prestigious retailer Tiffany & Co. can be traced all the way back to 1851. Looking for the perfect retailer for his exquisite timepieces, Antoine Norbert de Patek, by fate or by chance, wandered into Charles Lewis Tiffany's boutique in New York. A firm handshake between the two parties started a legendary partnership which lasted for more than one and a half century. To date, Tiffany & Co. would be the only American retailer to have their logo featured on a Patek Philippe timepiece. Referred by collectors to be the "double signature", not only is the present reference 5800 one of the rarest references from the Nautilus collection, it is crowned by this famous double seal, making it an outstanding addition for any watch collection.
The reference is not very common and this present watch is made rare still being retailed by Tiffany & Co. Complete with Certificate and presentation box, the present watch is furthermore in exceptional overall condition.
