Audemars Piguet created their first minute repeater wristwatch for American industrialist, John Schaeffer in 1907. This prototype featured a cushion shape case and John Schaeffer's full name as the numerals on the dial. Inheriting this cushion design and the minute repeater, the present Repetition Minutes is an extremely rare complication and is limited to 10 pieces only. Not only does it feature a minute repeater all housed in a petite 33.5 mm platinum case, the dial furthermore exhibits a satellite hour display with three star wheels to track time on the minute track at 12 o'clock, transparent to showcase its enigmatic purple dial. The present watch makes a very impressive horological marvel.
