The F.P. Journe Ruthenium Octa Jour et Nuit is one of five F.P. Journe models in the Ruthenium collection along with the Chronomètre à Resonance, the Tourbillon Souverain, the Octa Chronographe, and the Octa Calendrier. Each model was exclusively produced in 99 pieces.
The Journe Octa Reserve de Marche Ruthenium Jour et Nuit was introduced in 2002, with a grey dial and movement made of ruthenium, a rare transition metal of the periodic table's platinum group. It very resistant to corrosion and oxidation, and was reserved for the use of the most exquisite F.P. Journe wristwatches. As a side benefit, it also gives these watches a very unique look that proves timeless for years to come. Sophisticated and elegant the dial features an asymmetrical design and case with platinum, offering a noble sensation to the wrist which is however perfect for all occasions.
